The event is aimed at Diocesan Choirs and Parish Choirs, Music Chapels, musicians, choristers, organists, choir directors, directors of Liturgical Offices, and all laypeople, religious, and priests who wish to participate.

The Meeting also welcomes family members of the choristers and their companions.

Participation is also open to individual faithful or priests, who can register even if they do not belong to a specific choir.

Holy Mass animated by all the Choirs at the Altar of the Confession of the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter.

The conference will be held entirely in Italian. A simultaneous translation service will be available for international participants and will be organized according to the linguistic needs of those attending.

The service will be available through the Vatican Vox platform and will allow participants to listen to the translation directly on their smartphone using personal headphones.

To use the service, participants will need to:

• download the Vatican Vox application on their smartphone (available for iOS and Android);
• bring their mobile phone with them;
• have personal earphones or headphones in order to listen to the translation.

Once the application has been launched, it will be possible to select the desired language and listen to the translation in real time during the presentations.

The translation service will be available for:

• Friday, 5 February 2027 – Conference
• Saturday, 6 February 2027 – Conference and Audience with the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV

Participants are therefore kindly invited to download the application before the event and to bring their smartphone and headphones with them.

Participation in the event requires the payment of a participation fee, intended to support the organization of the event and to facilitate the participation of choir members from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Further details will be available starting from March 2026.

The fee does not include:

• meals
• travel
• accommodation

For children aged 13 or under (born after 31/01/2013), admission is free; however, registration is mandatory.

Children may attend the event only if accompanied by an adult. Each accompanying adult may register a maximum of 3 children.

After completing your registration and receiving the payment confirmation by email, your participation in the IMCV2027 event is considered successfully registered.

Starting from June 2026, you will receive the sheet music in PDF format by email, which will be necessary for musical preparation.

Beginning in September 2026, you will receive further organizational communications requesting some useful information, including:

• the participants’ voice type;

• the possible presence of priests;

• the possible presence of participants with disabilities;

• for those who have requested the choir certificate, the information needed to be included on the certificate.

Starting from January 2027, you will receive by email your personal Pass with a unique QR code that allows access to the Paul VI Audience Hall.

We therefore kindly invite you to check your email regularly, as it will be the main communication channel for all information related to the event.

The registration fee does NOT include travel, meals, and accommodation.

For organizational reasons, it will not be possible to stay in the Paul VI Hall between 13:00 (or at the end of the morning sessions) and 14:30. This break will allow participants to manage their own lunch independently, outside of the Vatican.

Music will be at the heart of the V International Meeting of Choirs in the Vatican: there will be numerous moments when all participants will sing: during the Conference sessions, in front of Pope Leo XIV during the Audience, for the grand Concert on Saturday evening, and for the Holy Mass in St. Peter's on Sunday morning.

Each participant who has registered will receive, a few weeks before the event, to the email they have provided, a file containing all the pieces that will be performed during the Meeting.

Every choir, group, and individual will be able to prepare independently according to their own abilities and timing.

Participants are free to choose whether to print the scores or to follow them on a tablet.

During the 3 days together, all participants will sit randomly in the Paul VI Hall, together with their choir, in order of arrival. Only for the grand Concert on Saturday evening, all participants will be divided in the Paul VI Hall according to their voice type: sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses. Non-singing companions will decide whether to sit next to someone from the group or to sit in a dedicated section.

It is recommended to always arrive early to undergo the mandatory checks for entry into the Vatican.

Latecomers may enter the Paul VI Hall at any time during the day, respecting the Program and logistical needs.

On Saturday morning, in anticipation of the special Audience with the Holy Father, it is not possible to enter the Paul VI Hall with bottles, flasks, and similar items

Yes, disabled participants in wheelchairs will not encounter architectural barriers either in the Paul VI Hall or in St. Peter's Basilica.
